I began this blog for Don and Martha Rosenthal because most material on relationships one is confronted with in this media saturated age is devoid of substance. Don and Martha’s work is an exception.
If you spend any period of time looking through relationship information on the internet you will quickly find the same recycled promises of better sex, prolonged romance, instant gratification and all in “3 EASY STEPS”!
You won’t find any such claims here.
What you will find is writings, conversations, recipes and genuine wisdom from Don and Martha’s 25 years of experience conducting workshops for couples. Their approach is spiritual but non-dogmatic. And effective; my wife and I (and hundreds of other couples) can attest.
Their work is not meant to elicit a quick fix, which is why for all this time they have been of service to couples whom sincerely have desired to use their relationship to transcend and grow to a whole new level.
In many ways I started this blog because of Don and Martha’s sense of ambivalence toward technology; they simply had not the interest nor the time to delve into the world of blogs, Twitter and Facebook while maintaining an active work schedule and nurturing their interior worlds.
You will find many of the posts have been done in dialogue format. Don and I recorded conversations this last winter as part of my study in Clinical Mental Health at Union Institute and University. My interest as a student of Don’s was the rich experience he has; and I think his interest was perhaps in a good conversation and a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Working with Don and Martha has been transformational for me. I hope you find something of value in these pages. If you do, share it if you are so moved. I certainly have been.
